SamTools was used to extract the number of reads aligned to each annotated gene (annotation file TriTrypDB .gff file). Data were normalized to the total mRNA signal in each sample we obtained by measuring the relative intensity of Spliced Leader signal to rRNA in methylene blue staining gel. | ||||||||||
